Occupation: Land Surveyor/GIS Analyst
Organisation: Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGoF)
Country: Nigeria

What inspired you to pursue your career?
I was inspired with the impact and progress my senior Colleagues were making. When I was in the university I was the best female student in my class and it gave me zeal to pursue my career further. I am happy to have gotten to the peak of my career by becoming a registered/certified Surveyor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I became more interested in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS. I didn’t relent, I attended lots of trainings and courses on GIS and I happy to have become a GIS Analyst, where I can prepare maps, perform analysis which adds value to my organization and the country as well.
What have been some of your biggest accomplishments in your career?
My accomplishments are becoming a registered/certified Surveyor and also a Geospatial Analyst.I also supervise the pupil Surveyors in other for them to get registered with Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON). I also trained my self on Leadership skills.
What challenges have you faced in your career and how have you overcome them?
I have faced many challenges, but I overcame by practicing and engaging in lots of trainings to better myself.
What advice do you have for other women who are aspiring to pursue a career similar to yours?
My advice is for them to be focused, persistent, committed, goal orientated and set core values for themselves.
