The Zimbabwe Institute of Geomatics (ZIG) 2022 Conference is upon us. Running from the 20th to the 21st of this month, under the theme: Geomatics in Sustainable Waster, Water and Transport Infrastructure Management.
The conference will attract various stakeholders across industries in Zimbabwe and the rest of the globe.
The conference aims to
- Bring about dialogue between policy makers and professionals in the Geomatics sector to ensure the issues to deal with sustainability are articulated and how geomatics as a profession plays an important role in the process.
- Provide a networking ground for young professionals, seasoned IetpShops Denmark - Asymmetrical body with logo ADIDAS fy3960 Originals - adidas fy3960 Performance 720 professionals, students, organizations, academia, researchers, policy makers among other delegates from well known establishments that will be in attendance of the conference.

| Dr. Kenneth Mubea (Capacity Development Lead – Digital Earth Africa)Kenneth’s role includes technical support and user engagement and support, driving usage of the DE Africa services and engaging with the DE Africa network of partners across Africa. Kenneth sees that a time has come that earth observation will be the critical means for decision making for countries and regional bodies in Africa towards the sustainable management of resources. This means that DE Africa will help countries manage various sectors of the economy such as agriculture and food security, water, urbanization, coastal ecosystems, forest and land degradation. Ultimately, DE Africa will help drive the continent towards the attainment of the Pan African Vision of an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa as outlined by the African Union Commission, The Africa we want. | Wilson Munyaradzi (Disaster Services Manager – ESA Hub) Joined the ESA Hub as Disaster Services Manager on the 15th of November 2021. Currently based in Zimbabwe and previously worked with World Wildlife Fund, ICRC and MAG international.Worked jordan luka 3 colorways release dates on different conservation projects for eight years with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) covering Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, and Namibia. Carried out Vegetative Mapping and habitat management in protected areas and areas of biological importance. Have eight years’ experience within the humanitarian sector with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) working as a GIS officer\Field Officer within the Southern Africa Region. | Leon Reynders (Regional Sales Manager: Africa – OPTRON)Leon joined OPTRON in 2017 as a sales consultant in the Western Coastal Region of South Africa. In 2020 he was promoted to his current position – Regional Sales Manager, Africa. Prior to OPTRON, Leon worked as a Surveyor and Project Manager for 10 years in several industries, using various Trimble and Spectra Precision solutions. During the later stages he specialized in the design and survey of Eskom power lines on large electrification projects across the country. His extensive field experience has provided a good foundation for the sales environment. |
